Ralph Fleck, born in 1951 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, is a contemporary artist known for his distinct approach to landscape and urban painting. Fleck studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg under Gerhard Wendland, and later served as a professor there. His work is characterised by its thick impasto technique, where paint is applied in heavy, textured layers, giving his pieces a sculptural quality. Fleck’s subjects range from expansive landscapes and cityscapes to more intimate studies of books and flowers.
