This work is by the hand of two artists: Van Severdonck painted the figures and Favelle painted the landscape. The Belgian painter Frans van Severdonck is known for his beautiful horses and riders. Several works by his hand are in the collection of the Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Brussels.
