At the age of thirteen Maza paid weekly visits to the studio of an elderly artist, where he learned the techniques of drawing and painting. In 1959 Maza joined the ‘Los Informalistas’, a group of young abstract artists that were inspired by the lyrical abstraction of Antoni Tàpies. During the late nineteen-sixties Maza became inspired by modern architecture, as introduced to him at the architectual firm of his grandfather. By now active in France, his works are still held in high regard in his native country, where various museums in Buenos Aires exhibit his works.
