A silver lodderein box and a lodderein box
Possibly Amsterdam, unclear maker’s mark, possibly Pieter Lodewijk Uriot, dated with coin 1678 and The Netherlands, dated with coin 1759
Both circular and smooth with hinged lid. The first decorated with engraved fishbone motif. On the lid and on the underside a ‘scheepjesschelling’ coin from West Friesland, the bottom one dated 1678. The other with, as the lid and bottom, a Gelderland quarter guilder 1759.
Second grade silver, approx. weight 21 grams and below Dutch legal silver alloy, approx. weight 14.9 grams.
