A ships wall clock
Switzerland, circa 1935-1950, manufactured by ELKA, unused
The clock cylindrical. White dial, black numerals and hands, red seconds hand and eight-day movement. The whole watertight and constructed of thick chromed brass. With matching key.

An identical ELKA ships clock was part of the inventory of the royal yacht Piet Hein and was sold at auction by AAG on 14 December 2009, lot 123.
The firm Ernst Louis Kiek Amsterdam sold superior ships clocks to ship builders over the world under the name ELKA. The Dutch Navy was supplied with watches and other items. The shop was situated in the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam. The firm itself dates to the 18th century.
