With imaginary portraits of the 100 poets hyaku-nin isshu, all poets depicted seated and surrounded by an inscription in black ink on paper with specks of gold, the faces gofun (white pigment), the costume rendered in brocade. The front and back cover in Tosa-style with a landscape over two pages of spring and autumn. The cover with seven rows of stylised flowers on a striped ground. In case decorated with a pattern of overlapping, open brise fans.
