A Chinese polychrome earthenware model of a saddled horse
Eastern Wei dynasty (534-549)
Well-proportioned and standing on a rectangular plinth, modelled with a saddle with ribbons, a rope tied around the chest with the typical hanging ornaments, the back saddle modelled with balls, with headdress, the eyes rendered in detail, with remains of russet, ochre and greyish-black pigments.
