An almanac and two various dance cards
Amsterdam and England, 19th century, tortoise shell and silver, ivory and leather and ivory
The first dated 1788, in 19th century tortoise shell cover with filligree silver mounts. One dance card in leather binding with an ivory and floral openwork motif medallion. The other in ivory, hinged cover with pencil holder and lock. On one side an engraved depiction of a woman with a garland, the other side with a sailor, leaning on an anchor. Interior with six ivory pages with the days of the week in English. With several hand-written notes.
