In ebonized case surmounted by five gilt bronze bud finials, the arched dial behind a glass panelled door flanked by two gilt bronze caryatid flowering garlands, applied silvered chapter ring, Roman and Arabic numerals, gilt matted centre and apertures for the mock pendulum and date, the arch signed Tho. Hunter, London and with two subdials for the quarter chime selection, eight day going train with verge escapement and short pendulum, the two spring barrels with fusees, with a strike for the hours on a single bell and a melody on chimes, back plate elaborately engraved with foliate scrolls and stamped: A.W. Kramme, Hamburg.
