Petronella van Woensel was a female Dutch painter and graphic artist. Van Woensel was born in Raalte and became a pupil of flower painters Georgius Jacobus Johannes van Os and Jan van Os. She is known for her exquisite flower depictions and from 1822 was an honorary member of the Royal Academy of Art. She passed away in 1839 in The Hague in the arms of her best friend and colleague, Maria Margaretha van Os.
