A pen-and-wash drawing by Nicolaas Baur with a similar composition is part of the collection of the Prentenkabinet Rijksuniversiteit of Leiden (inv. no. 2525). Just as the current lot, it depicts a harbor view of presumably Harderwijk, the Netherlands. The drawing is described and illustrated in Gemeentemuseum Het Hannemahuis's exhibition catalogue, Turbulent aquatic life and work of the marine painter Nicolaas Baur (1767-1820), (Van den Berg-Dijkstra, 1993).
