NB:
Acclaimed by leading Canadian art icons (Jack and Doris Shadbolt, 1999) as being, “The Cezanne / Monet of Canada”, MA Yewdale preferred to live her life reclusively, away from the public eye.
As an original, early 20th century West-Coast pioneer, she developed her own vibrant palette of expressionism through her intimate rapport with nature, and for the love of painting, itself.
She is a graduate of the original Vancouver School of Art where her teachers included Jack Shadbolt and Don Jarvis, and the University of British Columbia, where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree under the direction of BC Binning.
