View of Breukelen from the river Vecht, with figures, tea pavilions and Castle Guntherstein
Oil on canvas on panel, 28.2 x 40.4 cm
The painting unmistakably depicts the Vechtbrug in Breukelen, viewed towards the north-west, from the eastern riverbank of the Vecht. The building on the right side is Castle Guntherstein. The bridge has been replaced by a folding bridge, and the tea pavilions are replaced by replicas, but the scenery of the painting is still very recognizable today.
