A marquetery occasional table
France, Napoleon III, circa 1850, rosewood and walnut. With three (burned) marks: Part Paleis Soestdijk 5 381, with paper label with a crown and 9. A and N 53.Aa and also in ink 53.A No 9.
On the top and the other two surfaces a marquetery oval, with a depiction of two birds on a branch. On four curved legs.
