An English lantern clock, 'wing clock'
17th/18th century
With single hand, alarm disc, verge escapement with balance wheel above the top plate, chapter ring with Roman numerals, dial engraved with a flower wreath, brass case, single strickling, the doors with 'wings', anchor-shaped pendulum. bellstrap surmounted by a pinnacle. Openwork fret. Four weights. Interior of wall plate with inscription: TB October/1985 and Rest/Stevens & Zn/The Hague/Sept 1959. 'Hope and Spurs'.
