A bronze figure of an ascetic
Thailand, circa 13th century
Seated in virasana posture with both arms stretched out. He wears a loincloth, the upper body bare. The facial expression somewhat severe with almond-shaped eyes underneath slightly arched eyebrows, wide nose, accentuated lips, elongated earlobes and curled hair with several longer locks at the back.
