NB:
Hennie van de Louw (1946-2013) was a chronicler of the modern arts and a lover of artistic life. As an art critic he wrote for Pulchri Studio and later on also for the magazine Kunstbeeld. His reviews of exhibitions read as impressions: he was able to convey his visions and ideas to the reader. He was a sought-after speaker at opening of art galleries and also wrote artists monographs on, amongst others, Arman and Albert Niemeyer. Hennie was often considered strange, partly because he viewed works from very close by. The reason for this was his terrible eyesight.
