An ormolu and patinated-bronze Charles X mantle clock
France, circa 1820-1830
Surmounted by a finely sculpted figure of a putto holding a Greek helmet and sword, on rectangular gilt base embellished with laurel wreath-shaped mount adorned with ribbons and a bundle of arrows and resting on scroll feet, slight convex gilt dial, the cypher ring with blackened Roman numerals, the mechanism with eight day going train, countwheel strike on a single bell.
