Note:
Adrianus Eversen was a Dutch painter who is best known for portraying the typical 19th-century Dutch atmosphere in his work. With his brilliant use of compositional structure and a warm color scheme, Eversen depicted a view of presumably Harderwijk in this current lot. As can be seen from this painting, Eversen is a master at painting elaborate details, the expression of atmosphere, and the everyday life of people in a town. Therefore, this work on offer is an excellent example of Eversen's balanced style.
