The resale right was introduced on 1 April 2006 and applies to:
Original works of art created by artists (alive or up to 70 years after death), who are nationals or residents of a country affiliated to the EU or EEA or of a country granting an equal resale right.
Arts & Antiques Group BV will recover the legally required resale right compensation from the buyer and will take care of the financial settlement.
The resale right compensation is calculated from € 3,000 on the sales price including premium (excluding VAT) and is composed of the following percentages:
