On Monday 30 June we will traditionally close the season with this general auction consisting of silver, jewellery, glass, porcelain, pottery, clocks, sculptures, furniture, candlesticks, Asian and ethnographic objects. This catalog is complemented by more than 150 works of art, from old masters to contemporary graphics, almost half of which are offered without reserve price.
Among the silver objects you will find a beautiful early 18th century tea caddy of Dutch manufacture. The rectangular sides of lot 10 are decorated with palmettes, culots and bandels and the bottom plate is extendable. Valuation € 1,500 – 2,000.
For watch lovers, we offer you an 18K gold wristwatch from the Cartier brand. This Pasha model dates from 1994 and is a real eye-catcher with its white enamel dial. Valuation for lot 21 € 3,000 – 4,000.
We would like to point out to collectors of porcelain and other objects lot 32, a special 18th century display cabinet. This mahogany furniture, made around 1740, contains four shelves and three drawers in the base cabinet. Valuation € 3,000 – 4,000.
This auction contains a large number of candlesticks from the 14th to 17th centuries. Since the models vary from pin candlestick to collar candlestick and button candlestick to home candlestick, this collection offers something for everyone.
You will also find a wide range of religious art in this catalog, of which lot 97 immediately catches the eye. This sculpture 'Anne te Drieën' is made of oak around 1530 in Mechelen. Valuation € 3,500 – 5,000.
Among the Chinese porcelain you will find no fewer than four beautiful blue and white hooded bowls, all from the Kangxi period and very decorative. Lot 164 is marked with the period and decorated with four scenes on a terrace. The valuation for this bowl, with three fools on the bottom, € 2,000 – 3,000.
Lot 186 is a beautiful 'famille-verte' dish with the coat of arms of Namur, around which various birds, butterflies and flowers. Valuation € 4,000 – 6,000.
You will also be offered a large collection of Yixing teapots, all very diverse in size and decoration.
The antiquities section ends with a few Buddha statues and lot 258, a light wooden 'korwar' ancestor figure. The statue, from New Guinea, is early 20th century and of remarkably good quality. With a beautiful provenance, this one has a very attractive valuation of € 4,000 – 5,000.
The auction will end with an extensive collection of paintings, watercolors, drawings, graphics and sculptures. The 153 lots are arranged in alphabetical order by artist and the catalog thus leads you from Kees Andrea to Dick Zwier. Because the works were made between the 18th and 21st century, you will be given a good picture of the developments in art history of the last 300 years.
A large part of all artworks is auctioned without a minimum price. You recognize this by the valuation € ATP.
